This and That, with Coffee

I’ve put a link or two over on my sidebar – of interesting reads around the internet – but thought I would be a joiner and have a Saturday morning post link up to all the various and good stuff around the inter webs.

But – and I feel like a total failure at homeschooling when I tell this to you – our family has never read “Swallows and Amazons.” Or any of the series. Rest assured that will change. And soon. It’s going to have to if we are going to make it to the movies to see it on the big screen. The movie looks good; it looks great. And I can’t wait! But first, the book.

Why Absolute Minimalism Will Never Feel Like Home. No, no it won’t. And no, no it shouldn’t. Virtue is in the mean, of course. And extreme – or absolute – minimalism isn’t necessarily true detachment anyway.

Is Classical Education Revitalizing Christian Culture? Grab your cup of Joe and settle in with this one. While I can’t speak to Christianity as a whole, I can say that classical education has put a little spring into our own family’s step.
